Members of the Lions Club Luxembourg Viaduc collected 2,200 euros in an effort to fund researchers in Luxembourg. The LC Viaduc donation was matched by the Lions Action to Overcome Cancer and the total amount of 4,400 euros was donated to the Cancer and Blood Research Foundation. This amount is used to finance Mona Tuzza's master's degree in the field of acute myeloid leukaemia.

On 6 July Mona Tuzza handed over her master's thesis to Reidun Valo.
