Clothing donation

A long-standing supporter of Stëmm vun der Strooss, the Lions Club Xenium, on the initiative of Isabelle Lahr, has renewed its support with a donation of clothing, essential items, and backpacks. The Lions Club regularly organizes clothing drives and donations, as well as fundraisers, to support Stëmm in its mission to help the most vulnerable.
The Lions Club Xenium is an association of volunteers committed to humanitarian, social, and cultural actions that serve the most vulnerable members of society. As a member of Lions Clubs International, it carries out local and international projects, providing concrete responses to current social and health challenges. Its priorities include the fight against diabetes, assistance to people in need, access to education and culture, environmental protection, support for people with disabilities, and fundraising for the Food Bank.
Donations will be distributed at the Kleederstuff workshop in Hollerich and Esch-sur-Alzette. A team of ten people in professional reintegration works there. The clothes come from donations from individuals, but also from collections organized by schools, high schools, and companies. Once sorted and washed, they are redistributed free of charge to people in need. The aim is to enable everyone to dress appropriately for the season and the occasion, particularly for job interviews, court appearances, or house hunting, in order to help them regain their dignity. On average, more than 40 people in Luxembourg City and nearly 60 in Esch-sur-Alzette receive free clothing or laundry services every week.
